Lesson Information

Private piano instruction is offered to students of all ages and abilities, from beginner through advanced. Lessons take place once a week in a comfortable piano studio equipped with a Yamaha grand piano as well as the latest in music technology. Lessons are tailored individually to the unique needs, interests, and goals of each student. 

All students learn the following:
  • Basic and advanced Piano/Keyboard technique
  • How to play in various styles:  classical, jazz, pop-rock, blues
  • Music theory
  • Sight-reading
  • Ear training
  • Skills for effective learning
  • Basic improvisation

Intermediate and Advanced students may also learn:

  • Synthesizer technique and programming
  • Hardware and Software based MIDI sequencing
  • Advanced improvisation
  • Composition
